HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Salvation Army of Reno County will be announcing the winner of 2 tickets to the Chiefs vs. Bengals NFL game taking place on Sunday December 31. Wednesday, Dec. 20 is the last day to sign up to volunteer to ring bells for the last few days of the Red Kettle Season.
Major Paul James will be announcing the winner of the tickets Thursday December 21 in the morning on KWBW at 7:15 a.m.
Major James said, “We’ve had about the same amount of volunteer hours this year, but we’re excited that it has been more individuals and groups.” The Salvation Army still needs many volunteers and donations to finish out the season. With 4 days left before ending on Saturday December 23, there is still $13,881.12 until they reach their $75,000 Red Kettle Goal. “Please do not wait until Christmas Eve, since we don’t ring bells on Sundays," said James.
Individuals, families, or groups can still sign up to volunteer by going to https://registertoring.com. You just have until the end of Wednesday Dec. 20 to have your sign up count towards the chance to win 2 tickets to the Chiefs game. You may also call The Salvation Army’s office at 620-663-3353 and someone can help you sign up if you are having trouble.
