Fair board interviews candidate for GM position

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Kansas State Fair Board took another step in getting a new general manager in place. According to Harmon Bliss, the fair interviewed a candidate on Tuesday.

Bliss says eight candidates sent in applications. Of those eight, interviews were given to two potential candidates. A second interview was given to one of those two during the board's monthly meeting.

If all goes as planned, a special meeting will be held in the near future and that person could be offered the job at that time.

The person chosen would replace interim GM Ed Berger, who replaced Robin Jennison, who resigned from the fair last year.
