Sarah Zoe Huss, 81, died December 8, 2019, at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis, Wichita.  She was born April 25, 1938, in Mount Hope, to Paul and Frances (Staggers) Saffle.

Sarah was a baton twirler at Mount Hope High School and attended Salt City Business College. She was an administrative assistant for the Newton law firm of Sizemore Burns & Gillmore.  Sarah was a genius when it came to crafts.  She was a talented seamstress and made Christmas stockings, Christmas ornaments, and table runners for her entire family.  In addition, Sarah enjoyed making clothes, cross stitching, and flowers.

On February 20, 1955, she married Harris Huss at the Federated Church in Mount Hope.

Sarah is survived by:  her husband of almost 65 years, Harris of Mount Hope; daughters, Terri Thach of Hutchinson, Kerri Loepp (Herman) of Overland Park, MariAnn Gies (Bill) of Salina; grandchildren,   Emily Galbreath (Ashford, Jessica Dunlavy (Justin, Evan Thach (Kailey, Andrew Gies (Adrienne, Jonathan Loepp (Katie, Conner Gies; great-grandchildren, Helena and Harper Galbreath, Ellie and Kane Dunlavy, and Palmer and Olivia Thach; and brothers, Darrell Saffle (Judy, Richard Saffle, and Steve Saffle (Pam).

She was preceded in death by:  her parents; infant son, Michael; sister, Patricia Mans; and brother, Gary Saffle.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 14, 2019, at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, 11303 E. Longview Road, Burrton, with Pastor Alan Gager officiating. Private family inurnment will take place at a later date in Mount Hope Cemetery, Mount Hope. Friends may sign the book from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Wednesday through Friday at Elliott Mortuary.  The family will greet friends from 9:30 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
