The National Junior College Athletic Association released it's latest Top 25 poll for men's and women's basketball, and the HutchCC Blue Dragons were represented in each poll.
The HutchCC women (14-0, 8-0 KJCCC) moved up five spots from No. 11 to No. 6 in the first poll of 2024.
The No. 6 ranking is the highest for the Blue Dragons since Nov. 14, 2022 when Hutchinson was ranked No. 4.
The Blue Dragons defeated Cowley (72-47), No. 3 Butler (73-54) and Northwest Kansas Tech (92-44) since the last poll was released on Dec. 11, 2023.
The HutchCC men (12-2, 7-1) moved up four spots from No. 21 to No. 17.
The Blue Dragons went 2-1 since the final poll of 2023 was released with a loss to then-No. 9 Cowley (83-70), and wins at No. 17 Butler (63-60) and against Northwest Kansas Tech (89-56).
Both Blue Dragon teams will host Seward on Wednesday at the Sports Arena. The women will tip-off at 5:30 p.m., and the men at 7:30 p.m.
