SEDGWICK COUNTY—A former Sedgwick County Department of Corrections employee accused of unlawful sexual relations with an inmate made his first court appearance last week.
Jonah K. Bundy 29, Goddard, was charged with unlawful sexual relations with an inmate, according to the Sedgwick County District Attorney's office.
On March 30, deputies arrested Bundy and booked him into the Sedgwick County Adult Detention Facility, according to a media release from the sheriff's office.
In January 2026, the Sheriff’s Office received a report of an alleged inappropriate relationship and began an investigation. Detectives determined Bundy, who worked as a correctional officer at the Sedgwick County Adult Residential Facility, allegedly engaged in a relationship with a client in December 2025.
Bundy resigned his position with the Sedgwick County Department of Corrections before the investigation.
Bundy has met the requirement for a $100,000 bond and is no longer in custody, according to online jail records.
