Nina Rose Garber, 87, of Hutchinson, died August 16, 2024, at the Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. She was born June 17, 1937, in Hutchinson to Samuel L. and Edna Nina (Stewart) Stoughton.
Nina graduated from Buhler High School in 1955. She married William “Bill” Garber in October 22, 1955. They were married for 67 years before his passing June 1, 2023. They had two children: Nina and William.
Nina Rose loved her family and any family get-togethers. She enjoyed working in her flower gardens, watching Sci-Fi scary movies and the Twilight Zone as well as reading Stephen King books. She worked at Osco Drug for 30 years where she did a variety of duties. She always like working with the public
Nina is survived by: daughter, Nina Jarmer of Hutchinson; son, William “Bill” (Kelly) Garber of Manhattan; 4 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by: her husband; her parents; and 3 brothers- Sam Jr., Bill and Charles.
Cremation has taken place. No service has been planned.
