RILEY COUNTY–The Riley County Police Department arrested a man on multiple outstanding Riley County District Court warrants, as well as new additional charges from an incident that took place Friday, July 17.
Just after 9:30 a.m. Friday, officers filed a report of aggravated domestic battery, domestic battery, criminal damage to property, intimidation of a witness and interference with a law enforcement officer, according to a media release.
A 24-year-old woman was listed as the victim. A known 41-year-old man identified as Emilio Soto, 41, of Manhattan, was arrested at approximately 7:36 p.m. Friday.
Soto was also arrested on an outstanding Riley County District Court warrant from 2016 for one count of domestic battery and two Riley County District Court warrants from 2020 for six counts of rape; offender is older than 18 and victim is 14 or younger, two counts of aggravated domestic battery and one count of aggravated indecent liberties with a child.
Soto is being held a total bond of $522,000 and police learned Soto is in the United States illegally. RCPD has been in contact with federal law enforcement partners. ICE agents did not participate in Soto’s arrest, according to the RCPD.
