BUHLER, Kan. — IdeaTek of Buhler announced Tuesday that they will be expanding their footprint into the Garden Plain area.
“This investment is another exciting step in expanding our mission of delivering internet freedom to Kansas communities,” Daniel Friesen, IdeaTek’s Co-Founder and Chief Innovation Officer said. “We are extremely excited for the opportunities this much-needed fiber investment will bring to Garden Plain.”
The city's Bentwood and Pretty Flowers additions will be ready for internet installations by early February. The rest of the town will be connected later in the spring.
“We are thrilled that IdeaTek is coming to Garden Plain,” Garden Plain Mayor Kevin Hammond said. “IdeaTek will give residents a second option to choose from for internet service, and we are excited that they have chosen to invest in our community.”
The expansion into Garden Plain is one of several community builds IdeaTek has planned for 2022. IdeaTek staff and Garden Plain city leaders will have a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 8 to commemorate the expansion
