
RILEY COUNTY —Law enforcement are investigating a Kansas sex offender on new allegations
Just after 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, a 59-year-old woman reported a suspect, unknown to the victim, was in her residence, according to the Riley County Police Department activity re port.
Just after 5:30p.m., police arrested Anthony Ellis, 29, of Lansing, near 12th Street and Poyntz Avenue. He is being held on a $50,000 bond on requested charges of aggravated burglary and criminal damage to property. Ellis has been registered as a sex offender since 2016 for a conviction of aggravated indecent liberties with a 14-year-old in Manhattan, according to the Kansas Department of Corrections.
