
Kenneth Dean Gellinger, 88, passed away January 16, 2024, at Pinnacle Park, Salina, KS. He was born September 2, 1935, in Marysville, KS, to Charles Gellinger and Artelia (Sue) Zentz-Gellinger.
Kenneth was a 1954 graduate of Marysville High School, Marysville, KS. He served in the U.S. Navy for four years. On Oct. 16, 1959, he married Carol Thornton in Quincy, West Virginia. They moved to Hutchinson in 1960 and shared over 63 years of marriage. Kenneth worked for the Kansas Department of Transportation for 37 years until his retirement in 1995. Kenneth was a member of the New Life Christian Church, Hutchinson, KS.
Kenneth is survived by: sons, Todd (Barbara) Gellinger of Magna, UT, and Tony (Tina) Gellinger of Minneapolis, KS; and four grandchildren.
Kenneth is preceded in death by: his wife, Carol Gellinger; his parents; and his brother Gerald Gellinger of Marysville, KS.
Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 20, 2024, at Fairlawn Burial Park Mausoleum, 2401 Carey Blvd, Hutchinson, KS, with Pastor John Frey officiating. Friends may sign the book 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday, with family present to greet friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, January 19, 2024 at Elliott Mortuary.
