Stephanie G. Johnson, 62, of Augusta, KS, died December 29, 2023, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. She was born August 23, 1961, in Liberal, KS, to Robert and Bernice (Dondelinger) Blakesley.
Stephanie graduated from Ulysses High School, Ulysses, KS, in 1979, then from Hutchinson Community College with an associates degree in Healthcare Coding in 2016. During her life, Stephanie was a homemaker until her children did not need her to be home. After that, she worked at a flower shop in Ulysses, and later became the owner. Following her graduation from Hutchinson Community College, she enjoyed her job as a Medical Billing Specialist. Stephanie enjoyed having grandchildren and watching them play sports. In her free time, she liked to work with flowers, watch crime shows, such as CSI, and playing card games. Stephanie was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ulysses.
Stephanie is survived by her: daughters, Lacey (Andrew Mercier) Donahue, Augusta, Kaleena (Tyler) Knackstedt, Hutchinson, and Brittany (Chance) Branscum, Maize; grandchildren, Kaden Valencia, Coryn and Claira Knackstedt, Hutchinson, Lennox and London Branscum, Maize, Kason Mercier, Augusta, and Alyssa Donahue, Houston, TX; brother, Justin Blakesley, Ulysses; niece and nephew, Alyssa Hammond and Mathew Blakesley, Ulysses; partner-in-crime cousin, Iris (Kim) Schwindt, Ulysses; and her cousin’s children, Kody and Aaron Schwindt, Ulysses and Kenneth Schwindt, Garden City, KS.
She was preceded in death by her parents and infant brother, Larry Blakesley.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
