Brody Alan Kappel, 30, died October 21, 2023, in McPherson. He was born July 8, 1993, in Hutchinson, to Johnny Dwayne and Diana Leigh (Hall) Kappel.
Brody graduated from Buhler High School in 2011 and he attended Hutchinson Community College and Central Christian College in McPherson. He was the Director of Technology for New Hope Evangelical Church, McPherson.
Brody had a passion for technology and enjoyed working with any type of electronic. He was an animal lover, especially when it came to his cat.
Brody is survived by: his mom, Diana (Cavin) Lambert of Hutchinson; sisters, Michelle (Jason) Parrish of Hutchinson and Sara (Sam) Bookless of Omaha; nieces Scarlett and Stella of Omaha; step brothers, Jeff (Sara) Lambert of Dodge City and James Waggoner of Wichita.
He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents, Don and Mary Hall.
Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, October 29, 2023, at CrossPoint Church, 1410 E 30th, Hutchinson, KS 67502 with Pastor Andy Addis officiating. Friends may sign his book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday at Elliott Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to McPherson Animal Shelter, Hutchinson Animal Shelter, CrossPoint Church, Hutchinson or New Hope Evangelical Church, McPherson, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
