SOUTH HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A special meeting of the Reno County Planning Commission will be held on Monday, February 5, 2024, at 4:30 p.m. at the Reno County Public Works Department located at 600 Scott Blvd., South Hutchinson, KS  67505.

The purpose of the meeting is to continue the discussion on development of limited scale solar regulations and residential solar regulations.  This meeting is a continuation of the November 9, 2023, public hearing.

The Board of County Commissioners has made it clear that they have no interest in large-scale commercial solar development in the county, so the Planning Commission has shifted its focus.
