Hatfield for Commissioner

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Lindsey Hatfield has filed to run as a Democrat for the Reno County District 4 county commission seat.

"As a Hutchinson native and mother of two young children, investing in our community is near and dear to my heart," Hatfield said in a release. "In the last few years, it has become more important than ever for women to have representation and a voice in government. I look forward to listening to all of my constituents and bringing their concerns to the Reno County Commission, because I believe everyone in Reno County deserves to have a voice. I’m a firm believer in common sense politics and I want to raise my children in a healthy and functioning community. We should make smart investments in Reno County through infrastructure, education, childcare, and small businesses. As a small business owner and full-time working mother, I feel that I have a unique perspective to offer in this regard."

Hatfield has been married to her husband, Nathan, for 15 years, they have two children, and enjoy spending time together biking, playing outdoors, and baking. Hatfield owns Salt City Scoops, a local food trailer, and also works remotely for a Los Angeles based Property Management company.

Hatfield is the only Democrat filed in the District 4 race.
