Agnes Marie Marcotte, 92, of Hutchinson, died October 17, 2022, at Hospice House. She was born January 14, 1930, in St. Joseph, KS, to Ronald J. and Laura M. (Ouellette) Arpin.
Marie attended school in Clyde, KS. She worked at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Kress, Duckwalls, and Ben Franklin. Marie loved fishing and camping and doing crafts and taught toll painting at the Delos V. Smith Senior Center. She was a member of Women of the Moose Hutchinson Chapter #1371 and St. Teresa Catholic Church, where she was in the Altar Society.
On June 24, 1947, Marie married Lee Marcotte, in Clyde. He died December 14, 2006.
She is survived by: her children, Dennis Marcotte, Myron Marcotte (Connie), Tina Ediger (David); brother, Jerry Arpin (Carolyn), all of Hutchinson; 5 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and many extended family members.
Marie was preceded in death by: her mother, Laura Ericson; father, Ronald Arpin; sister, JoAnn Simpson; brothers, Gene and Bob Arpin; granddaughter, Lisa Marcotte; and nephew, Greg Arpin.
Parish Rosary will be 10:00 a.m., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m., Friday, October 21, 2022, both at St. Teresa Catholic Church, 211 E. 5th Ave., Hutchinson, with Fr. Will Stuever officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., with family present to receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Mortuary.
