HUTCHINSON, Kan. - The Hutchinson Monarchs got big innings in both the bottom of the first inning and the seventh inning including two long home runs each by Jaden Gustafson and Nicky Sackett. Gustafson's was a 1 run shot while Sackett was a 2 run blast.
Strong pitching by Cade Toureau who went five strong innings with the start and win. Toureau had five strikeouts in those five innings he pitched.
Carson Cornelius and Reed Scott came on in relief and locked things down for the Monarchs each pitching two innings apiece.
Next action for the 11-5 Monarchs will be Tuesday night versus the Haysville Aviators with first pitch at 7pm.
