Robert Charles Conner Sr., 80, died April 26, 2024, at his residence in Hutchinson. He was born March 17, 1944, in Hindsboro, IL, to Minnie Conner Titus.
Chuck worked for Collins Bus Corporations, and retired after 30 plus years.
Chuck enjoyed woodworking, fishing and riding his motorcycle. He was a longtime pool player, a member of APA, a member of Alcoholics Anonymous, with 32 years of sobriety and very proud of it. Chuck was also an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan.
On July 17, 1999, he married Donelle (Petering) Neufeld in Hutchinson. They shared 24 years of marriage.
Chuck is survived by: his wife, Donelle Conner of Hutchinson; children, Robb (Bobbie) Conner of Wichita, Shawn Conner of South Hutchinson, Miranda (Bryan) Ackley of Hutchinson, Meagan Neufeld of Hutchinson; 7 grandchildren; and 2 great- grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by: his mother; sister, Sandy Stedman; brothers, John Waters, Phil Waters, Ronnie Waters, Jerry Waters; and granddaughter, Shawna Conner.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Monday, May 6th, 2024 at New Covenant Presbyterian Church, 700 E 25th Ave, Hutchinson, with Pastor Craig Waetke officiating.
Friends may sign his memorial book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary.
