WYANDOTTE COUNTY - A jury last week found a suspect guilty in Kansas cold case murder.
Gary Dion Davis,54, was convicted of second-degree murder in the November 1996 death of Pearl Davis, also known as Sameemah Mussawir, according to the Wyandott County District Attorney's office.
Police had found the victim’s body in a house on Lafayette Avenue in Kanas City, Kansas, and the case went unsolved for decades.
Davis had also been charged with killing Christina King two years later in December 1998, but the jury found him not guilty of her murder.
Davis worked as a long-haul truck driver. The district attorney's office said it is possible that Davis could be responsible for other crimes across the country because of his job.
Davis is scheduled for sentencing on Feb. 26, according to the district attorney's office.
