Alfred ‘Charlie’ Elmer Buck, died June 18, 2024, at Hospice House, Hutchinson, KS.  He was born January 13, 1941, in Hutchinson, KS, to Albert McKinnley Buck and Oleta Faye (Hamblin) Buck.

Charlie was a 1959 graduate of Partridge High School, Partridge, KS, and attended Hutchinson Community College.  He was the president of Buck Roofing Inc., formerly AB Roofing, for 34 years.

On June 26, 1964, Charlie married Charlene Cheryl Brown at Church of the Holy Cross, Hutchinson, KS.  They shared over 59 years of marriage, prior to her death on October 25, 2023.

Charlie is survived by: his sons, Mark (Karla) Buck and John Buck, both of Hutchinson, KS; grandchildren, Sara (Adam) Brenton, Blake Buck, and Mariah Buck; great-grandchildren, Teagan Buck, Bretley Buck, and Ethen Logan; and sisters, Lorraine (Dave) Warnken of Hutchinson, KS, and Connie (Kenneth) Wise of Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by:  his parents; wife; brothers, Richard Buck, Robert Buck, Bill Buck, Gene Buck, Albert Buck, Jr., and Alvin Buck; and sisters, Annabelle Watts and Luleta Wills.

Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, June 22, 2024, at the Plevna Cemetery, Plevna, KS.  Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, June 21, 2024, with the family present from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Elliott Mortuary.
