HUTCHINSON, Kan. —The Foxtrot Short Shot Film Competition will feature Kansas filmmakers and crews of all skill levels.
The competition and its associated workshop are designed to hone the participants’ audio-visual recording and editing skills, and to provide them with valuable experience and feedback.
Groups are competing for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place and People’s Choice awards, with prize money totaling $1,425.
Films will be shown at the Fox Theatre during a special Film Premiere on Sept. 2, starting at 3 p.m. The competition will wrap up with a special post-show awards ceremony at 6 p.m.
You can still enter to compete between now and August 26 for just $50, or get tickets to the premiere here. Tickets are $20 and will support future arts and culture programming through Hutch Rec.
