
Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks Game Wardens issued a reminder on their social media page on Monday, "Watch your step and be vigilant when recreating in the outdoors."
The Timber Rattlesnake, is venomous and is just one of the many different snake species throughout the state of Kansas. This particular snake was found in the Southern Flint Hills area of the state.
The Timber Rattlesnake is also a Species in Need of Conservation in Kansas and are protected by state law.
