Cecilia J. Mayberry, 69, passed away on November 1, 2025, at her home in Hutchinson, KS. Cecila was born on November 17, 1955, in Pittsburg, KS, the daughter of Clinton and Dorthy (Dorsey) Allmon.
Cecilia graduated from Pittsburg High School and attended Pittsburg State University where she received her associate’s degree in business. She was a Special Accounts Manager at Heartland Credit Union and retired after 31 years. She was a member of the Second Missionary Baptist Church in Hutchinson. On September 5, 1987, Cecila married Edward Lee Mayberry in Hutchinson, KS.
She is proceeded in death by her parents; brothers, Clifford Allmon, Clinton Allmon, Dalton Allmon; sisters, Joyce Allmon and Lydia James.
Cecilia is survived by her loving husband, Edward Mayberry; sons, Chad Mayberry, Sean Mayberry, and Christopher Mayberry; brothers, Raymond (Vera)Allmon, Mansfiel2d (Samelia) Allmon, Rock Henry (Elisa) Allmon, David Allmon, Christopher (Lulu) Allmon; sister, Irene (Lloyd) Cavitte; brother-in-law, George (Barbara) Mayberry; sisters-in-law, Jewell (Bill) Williams and Martha (Charles) Hill; grandchildren, Jada Mayberry, Mya Mayberry, and Harmony Mayberry; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 15, 2025, at The Father’s House, 1505 E. 20th Ave, Hutchinson, KS. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave. Hutchinson, KS. The burial will take place in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson, KS. Memorials may be given to the Second Missionary Baptist Church and can be sent in care of the funeral chapel.
