HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutchinson Police recently held the department's 2nd Annual Youth Academy last week. Youth Academy provides upcoming 7th graders with insight into law enforcement.
For eight hours, they experience various duties of a law enforcement officer. These include some of the following: 911 communications, crime scene investigations, K9 handling, firearms safety and demonstration, drone demonstration, Emergency Response Team demonstration and courtroom testimony.
