Airplane missed landing strip, stops in front yard of Kan. home

FORD COUNTY—A Kansas pilot avoided injury after a mishap just after 10:30a.m. Wednesday in Ford County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2009 Turbo-prop S2R-T34 fixed wing, single engine aircraft piloted by Dawson Lance Dreyer, 23, Spring Hill, had landing gear issues.

The airplane missed the grass landing strip that runs South of Center Street and West of South Washington Street in Bucklin.
