NICKERSON, Kan. — The Nickerson USD 309 School Board will take the first steps on getting a potential contractor for the proposed bond issue.
The district is looking at a $10.5 million facilities improvement project. During tonight’s meeting the board will seek approval to put out requests for proposals to contractors who would become the district's construction management at risk.
The system uses the contractor to conduct all contracting, construction and financial facets of a project. It is the same format used during the renovation of the sports arena and the USD 308 bond project. If all goes as planned the formal hearing will be held on the matter April 4th.
Tonight's Nickerson USD 309 board meeting begins at 7 p.m. at the school district offices at 4501 W. 4th.
