On Monday morning Saline County Sheriff Roger Soldan said two individuals were arrested for assisting in an inmate's plot to escape the Saline County Jail.

On Friday shortly after 5 p.m. Sheriff's Deputies executed a search warrant at a residence located at 757 Sheridan Street in Salina. Deputies located the occupant of the home, Thomas Golde III of Salina.

Sheriff Soldan said Golde conspired to allow the escape of Saline County inmate Johnathon Mullen, 37 of Salina.

"We got information that Golde and one other person were planning to try and get him [Mullen] out of our custody when we took him to court. Possibly by force. " Soldan said.
