HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Week 7 NJCAA football rankings are out.

Hutchinson Community College (6-0, 3-0) is the nation's new No. 1.

The Dragons won on the road Saturday at Dodge City 47-14 behind two Dylan Laible touchdown passes and a rushing TD from reigning National Player of the Week Dylan Kedzior.

Defending national champion NMMI started the season 5-0, despite winning the last three games by an average of 4.6 points. New Mexico Military lost 20-12 to Tyler (3-2).

Hutchinson has already defeated four opponents currently in the Top 15 (No. 6 Navarro, No. 8 Butler, No. 10 Iowa Central and No. 12 Coffeyville).

Hutchinson has a bye this week, before heading back west to face a surging Garden City team on Oct. 22.

Garden City (3-3) is now receiving votes after winning three games in a row. Garden City added No. 9 Snow to its schedule for Oct. 15.
