Sherryl Louise Willms, 77, of Hutchinson, died December16, 2024, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. She was born December 17, 1946, in Hutchinson, to Hugo E. and Violet L. (Sandow) Kohrs.
Sherryl graduated from Hutchinson High School and Tabor College. She worked as a phlebotomist at the Medical Center and Hutch Clinic in Lyons and Hutchinson, as well as bookkeeper in a family-owned business. Sherryl lived in the Hutchinson and Little River area her entire life. She was a music lover and played the organ at First Baptist Church for nearly 50 years. Sherryl also was a lifelong cat lover. She dabbled in different crafts and enjoyed baking and canning. Sherryl was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church.
On August 24, 1973, she married Russell W. Willms at First Baptist Church. They shared over 51 years of marriage. He survives.
Also surviving are: her daughters, Sheila Regier (Jaris) of Buhler, Sheria Dawson (David) of Raymore, MO, Suzette Willms of Topeka; and grandchildren, Sabella Regier, Sophia Regier, Serena Regier, Samara Regier, Josiah Regier, Jonah Regier, Noah Freeman, Addison Dawson, and Alexander Dawson.
Sherryl was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Joel Regier.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday, December 23, 2024, at First Baptist Church, 800 N. Main, Hutchinson. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Burial Park.
Friends may sign her memorial book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday – Saturday and 1-5 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church.
