
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The unemployment rate in Reno County rose for the month of October.
According to the Kansas Department of Labor, the jobless rate for the county rose three tenths of one percent to 2.9%. The jobless rate for the same period in 2021 was 2.6%.
There were 855 county residents out of work.
Preliminary estimates reported by the Labor Market Information Services (LMIS) division of the Kansas Department of Labor (KDOL) and the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) show a statewide seasonally adjusted unemployment rate of 2.8% in October. This was an increase from 2.6% in September and a decrease from 2.9% in October 2021.
