David Raymond Marcoux, 68, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, July 28, 2024, at his home in Hutchinson. He was born February 17, 1956, in Morrisville, VT, the son of Arthur and Raymonde (Lamoureux) Marcoux.

David served in the Air Force for seven years traveling overseas serving his country. Upon his return, David worked in various jobs in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont.

He loved spending time with his grandchildren and had recently been on a camping trip with them. David enjoyed sharing stories with them when he visited, showing photos of his kitty cats, Lou and Popcorn.

David loved music, nature, photography, and had many talents, including technology and mechanics. There wasn’t much he couldn’t do. David was always willing to help with any project.

He is survived by: his two children, Tiffany Chaney, David R. Marcoux, Jr. (wife, Angel) of Moore, OK; six grandchildren, Zach, Misty, Marcella, Makayla, Chase, Zane; five siblings, Bob of Florida, Helene (Dave) of Kansas, Renee (Buddy) of Vermont, Jackie (Greg) of Kansas, and Monique (Dan) of North Carolina. He also leaves behind his two beloved cats, Popcorn and Lou.

David was preceded in death by: his father; two brothers, Dan Marcoux, Marcel Marcoux; and ex-wife Connie, the mother of his children.

In the words of his mother, “David was given the middle name of Raymond, named after my brother, Raymond.  The older kids wanted to name David, “Davy Crockett,” because their father had just taken them to their first theater movie about Davy Crockett just before David was born.”  Some of David’s siblings attest that he was her favorite.

David has, and always will be, loved and dearly missed by all of us so very much.
