
Suzanne Walker Morey, 81, of Salina, KS, passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at Dignity Care Home, Salina, Kansas.
Suzanne was born in Concordia, Kansas on March 9, 1942, the daughter of Cecil and Opal (Walker) Ettleman.Suzanne attended the Haddam Grade School, and graduated from Haddam High School in 1960. She was a member of Haddam United Methodist Church.
Suzanne was a homemaker and she took great pride in providing for her family in this manner. Through the years she also worked as a daycare provider, home Interior consultant, and stocker at Target. Suzanne was a member of 4-H; Haddam Unit Club, and the Haddam Bridge Club. She enjoyed doing home interiors, going to casinos, traveling, coaching softball, and spending time with her family and friends.
Suzanne was united in marriage to Joseph W. Morey on February 4, 1961 at Haddam Methodist Church in Haddam, Kansas. The young couple established their first home on a farm in Narka, Kansas. This union was blessed with the birth of three children, a son and two daughters; Kimberly, Kent and Karen. She is survived by daughters, Kimberly Morey, Karen Nichols both of Salina, Kansas, and son Kent (Tonya) Morey of McPherson, Kansas; grandchildren, Kristin Burt, Christopher "Bud" (Katheryn) Davis-Talkington, Kyle Nichols, Sarah Nichols, Shelby Nichols, Megan (Tim) Konrade, Joel (Chyann) Morey; and great-grandchildren, Leighton, Kaisen, Kesley, Jaxsyne, Samuel, Adalynn, Greyson, Emma and Quinn.
Suzanne was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Joseph Morey. Graveside service at Mahaska Cemetery, Mahaska, Kansas will be September 23, 2023 at 1:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Suzanne Morey memorial Fund and can be sent in care of the Glidden-Ediger-Wiggins Funeral Home, 222 West Euclid Street, McPherson, Kansas 67460.
