Byron Keith Spore, 76, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2023 surrounded by family. Byron was born on June 18, 1947 in Newton, Kansas to Arnold K. & Eileen E. (Unruh) Spore. He was a life-long resident of the Newton area & was a graduate of Halstead High School.

After graduation, Byron served in the Army National Guard & then served two years of active duty in the Army. In November of 1972, Byron married the love of his life, Enid (Dee) Smith, in Halstead, Kansas. Byron especially enjoyed the Texas hill country where there were many deer. At Canyon Lake, one doe & her fawn would visit the campsite daily for food.
