⚾ Sources: Royals finalizing deal with Hunter Renfroe

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City Royals are finalizing a two-year deal with Hunter Renfroe, according to Jon Heyman with the NY Post.

Renfroe, 31, has played eight seasons in Major League Baseball with the San Diego Padres, Tampa Bay Rays, Boston Red Sox, Milwaukee Brewers, Los Angeles Angels and most recently with the Cincinnati Reds.

Renfroe has a lifetime batting average of .239 with 177 home runs and 454 RBI in 841 career games.  

Defensively, Renfroe has a fielding percentage of .970 with 45 errors in 1491 chances.

The 6-foot-1 230-pound Renfroe is a native of Crystal Springs, Mississippi and was a 1st round pick by the San Diego Padres in the 2013 MLB June Amateur Draft out of Mississippi State.
