HAVEN, Kan. — If all goes as planned, the Haven USD 312 school district hopes to have all students attending classes full time in the near future.
The district has already gone to full attendance mode in both the middle and high schools for a little over a week now. During Monday’s board meeting, discussion centered around getting the elementary students back into their buildings.
Currently, the students are separated with some students attending classes at two area churches so that class sizes are smaller.
Superintendent Clark Wedel says they would like to end the smaller cohort classes and get the students back to Yoder Charter School and Haven Grade School. Wedel says it does take some planning and such a move will take at least a full day to complete and get everything back to where it needs to be in both buildings.
While it was discussed, no action was taken by the Board.
