Jean A. Fraizer, 95, of Hutchinson, died peacefully December 13, 2024, at Hospice House, in Hutchinson. She was born April 20, 1929, in Pratt, Kansas, the daughter of William and Maude (Sloan) Jacob.
Jean graduated from Pratt High School in 1947 and attended Kansas State University. She was a loving and devoted member of Church of the Holy Cross and was a participant in the Altar Society, along with the Harvest House. Jean enjoyed reading books, working with her hands on ceramics, and knitting. She made family her biggest priority and happily doted on her husband and children. Jean will be remembered for the love she poured into her family, along with the delicious meals she prepared for them.
On December 28, 1951, she married the love of her life, Donald ‘Buns’ Fraizer. They shared 65 beautiful years together before his death on August 9, 2017.
She is survived by: her daughters, Elaine Pope of Hutchinson, Denise (David) Hilt of Fort Worth, TX; sons, Allen (Ignacio) Fraizer of Dallas, TX, Denis (Carol) Fraizer of Wichita, Gregory Fraizer of Hutchinson; ten grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara Wilson of Hutchinson; brothers, Larry (Nancy) Jacob of Austin, TX, Jerry (Arlene) Jacob of Sterling, and Phillip (Carol) Jacob of Ottawa.
Jean was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Donald Fraizer; sister, Collette and husband, Henry Stienke; infant brother, Gregory Jacob; great-grandchild, Logan McArter; and son-in-law, Matthew Pope.
Cremation has taken place. Parish Rosary will be 10 a.m., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, December 19, 2024, both at Church of the Holy Cross, 2361 Independence Road, Hutchinson, with Father Jerome Spexarth officiating. Burial will follow at Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson.
Friends may sign her book from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Wednesday.
