SHAWNEE COUNTY—Law enforcement are investigating a deadly robbery and have two suspects in custody
Just after midnight Saturday, police responded to report of a shooting in the 2900 block of SW Topeka Boulevard, according to Police Lt. Edward Stanley.
First responders located a man later identified as 31-year-old Earon Cooper of Lawrence, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
As a result of the investigation police arrested two suspects. Silas Kriner, 21, of Baldwin City, Kansas, was transported to the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on requested charges of 1 st Degree Murder, Aggravated Robbery. Delano A. Washington, 19, of Topeka, is being held on requested charges of 1st Degree Murder, Aggravated Robbery, Interference with a Law Enforcement Officer, Criminal Damage to property and a Shawnee County Warrant.
