Cosmosphere announces new board members

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Cosmosphere announced the addition of five new members to its Governing Board and three new members to its Foundation Board.

Joining Cosmosphere’s Governing Board of Directors are: Wes Kimmel, attorney at Foulston Siefken LLP, Jay Johnson, Prairie Dunes Country Club general manager and chief operating officer, Sheila Meggers, director of finance at USD 308 Hutchinson Public Schools, Erica Shook, Ad Astra Virtual Academy director for USD 313 and Teresa Schrock-Wagner, president and owner, Woodwork Manufacturing & Supply, Inc.

New on the Cosmosphere Foundation Board of Directors are: Jordan Fee, risk advisor at Fee Insurance Group; Charlie Garcia, special projects chief engineer at Agile Space Industries, Molly Martens, senior certification engineer at SpaceX and David Neal, partner and senior wealth advisor at Frontier Wealth Management.

“The Cosmosphere boards are a phenomenal group of people who are passionate about our mission to inspire innovation through science education and honor the history of space exploration,” Jim Remar, Cosmosphere president and chief executive officer said. “With attendance the highest it’s been in the past seven years and our new virtual education initiative launching this year, these boards provide the foundation for ensuring the Cosmosphere can deliver on the promise of our mission in more impactful and relevant ways for even broader audiences.”
