SW Kan. man jailed for alleged home-invasion attack on woman

FINNNEY COUNTY—Law  enforcement authorities are investigating a suspect for an alleged violent attack on a woman.

Just after 11p.m. Aug. 14,  police were dispatched to an incident in the west part of Garden City. A woman with visible injuries met the arriving officers and reported she had been in a physical altercation with a man known to her later identified as 38-year-old Roberson Sully of Dodge City.

The investigation revealed the woman was asleep in her residence when she woke up to Sully allegedly yelling at her and strangling her. Sully allegedly pulled the woman out of bed and continued to batter her throughout the residence and prevented her from leaving.

During the alleged altercation, the woman was able to break free from Sully before he fled the scene.

The woman received treatment for her injuries from Finney County EMS. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate Sully.

The Dodge City Police Department was advised of the incident and responded to Sully's residence but did not locate him.

Just after 7p.m. Monday, Sully was arrested at the Finney County Law Enforcement Center on requested charges of Aggravated Domestic Battery, Aggravated Kidnapping, Aggravated Burglary and Criminal Damage.
