HUTCHINSON,Kan. — The Hutchinson Public Library is ready to show off its updated meeting rooms.
"We have an open house Monday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.," said Gregg Wamsley with the library. "Then, after that, in our big room, we'll be showing the movie 'Picnic' as part of our Kansas Day celebration."
Now, that whole wing is better equipped for any groups that may want to rent the space.

"We're really excited, it used to be just our large room had audio visual capabilities," Wamsley said. "Now, all of the rooms do. We added a fourth meeting room up in that area. We can have even more things going on. The largest room, we generally tell people it will hold about 60, you can probably put a few more in there, but you get really close with your neighbors if you do that. We have a room that holds 15-20, a room that holds eight to 12 and the new room holds four to maybe six people."
One of the rooms also has a kitchenette if a group wants to bring in food for an all day meeting. You can schedule your event by visiting the library at 901 North Main.
