MCPHERSON COUNTY— One person was injured in an accident just before 9:30 a.m. Thursday in McPherson County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2021 Buick Encore driven by Darlene M. Wingrove, 57, Galva, was eastbound on U.S. 56 just west of Interstate 135.
The Buick rear-ended a 2019 Ford F550 driven by Dana R. Myers, 56, McPherson, who slowing down to stop at a yellow then red light at the intersection of Kansas and Champlain Street.
EMS transported Wingrove to the hospital in McPherson. Myers was not injured. Both drivers were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
Three juveniles were present in the Buick; juvenile records are protected data.
