Posted Feb 17, 2022 10:22 AM

SOUTH HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Reno County Public Works has been out preparing for the snow this morning.

According to Director Don Brittain, the first road crew was called out around 3 a.m. Another crew will take over around late morning or early afternoon to continue with clearing roads.

The city of Hutchinson begins treating roads once precipitation starts to fall. The city did not want to pre-treat roads since rain was in the forecast.

As the snow falls, they will follow the usual plowing procedures for city streets.
