🏀 MBB: K-State gets commitment from transfer McNair Jr.

MANHATTAN, Kan. — The Kansas State Wildcats men's basketball team received a commitment from Will McNair Jr. on Friday morning, via on3's Joe Tipton.

McNair began his collegiate career at New Mexico State, where he played for three seasons for the Aggies. After NMSU, McNair transferred to Mississippi State, where he played last season for the Bulldogs. McNair then transferred to Providence, where he had only played on the overseas trip this summer for the Friars.

McNair has played in 116 games in his four years of college basketball, starting 29 of those. He has averaged just under four points per game and just over three rebounds. His most productive year was in 2021-22 at New Mexico State when McNair averaged 6.6 points and 4.9 rebounds in 34 games, 27 of which were starts.

The 6-foot-10, 265-pound power forward is from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and attended Martin Luther King High School.
