HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson Community College livestock judging team continued its run of success with trips to the Heart City Bull Bash in Valentine, Nebraska and the Nebraska Cattlemen’s Classic in Kearney, Nebraska, coming home with top honors at both events. The sophomore team has now won three contests in a row.
Results at the Heart City Bull Bash, where freshmen and sophomores competed together in the same division, included:
- Will Banks: High Individual Overall, Reasons, and Placings
- Jacey Massey: 3rd Overall, 7th Placings, 10th Reasons
- Baxter Blair: 3rd Reasons
- Kasey Johnson: 4th Reasons
- Sarah Sergeant: 8th Reasons
- Wyatt Lange: 8th Overall, 10th Placings
- Sophomores: High Team Overall, Reasons, and Placings
- Freshmen: 4th in Reasons
At the Nebraska Cattlemen’s Classic, the sophomores achieved the following:
- Baxter Blair: High Individual Overall and Reasons, 8th Placings
- Kasey Johnson: 3rd Overall, 5th Reasons, 9th Placings
- Will Banks: 6th Overall, 2nd Reasons
- Jade Parrish: 7th Reasons
- Kendal Stalnaker: 8th Reasons
- High Team Overall, Reasons, and Placings
The freshmen also competed at the Nebraska Cattlemen’s Classic, finding success in the following:
- Lindsey Lehman: High Individual Feedlot Cattle
- Emmitt Meyring: 10th Overall, Tied 8th in Reasons (9th)
- Ashlyn Robinson: Tied 8th in Reasons (11th)
- Team: 3rd Reasons, 5th Overall, 8th Placings
