HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Kansas Department of Corrections is looking for an inmate who walked away from a work release program. Elvin Morris failed to report back to the KDOC Work Release Facility on October 2, 2021. Morris has been placed on escape status.
Morris is described as a 5’10” black male and was last seen wearing a dark black hooded sweatshirt and dark pants. Morris is described as having a slender build.
Morris has ties to Hutchinson and Wichita and is believed to be in the area at this time. Anyone with information regarding where Morris might be should contact Kansas Department of Corrections at 316-265-5211, the Kansas Bureau of Investigation at 800-572-7463, or local law enforcement at 911.
