SOUTH HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The South Hutchinson Fire Department will welcome the public for an open house later this week, offering residents a chance to tour the station, meet firefighters, and learn more about local emergency services.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, April 18, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the fire station located at 20 E. Blanchard in South Hutchinson.

Organizers say the open house will feature a variety of family-friendly activities, including a “touch-a-truck” experience, kids activities, and opportunities to interact with firefighters and explore department equipment up close.
Food will also be available during the event, with a suggested donation of $5.
The department encourages community members of all ages to attend, noting the event is designed to provide a behind-the-scenes look at fire service operations while strengthening connections with the community.
For more information, residents can contact the department at 620-663-7104.
