RENO COUNTY — The Board of Reno County Commissioners spent over two hours Oct. 3 and heard publicly from the two finalists for the Medical Consultant position.
Dr. Deanna Marshall from PrairieStar and Dr. Scott Pauly from the Hutchinson Clinic were publicly interviewed and the public was able to give comment as well before the commission and submit questions for each of the candidates to respond to.
The Board will make their final selection between Pauly and Marshall on Wednesday.
Pauly served as the Medical Consultant for the county prior to the Request for Qualifications in March.
The position, as currently written in statute, is for public health. This isn't for just all general health items at the Health Department, the medical consultant is specifically for public emergencies.
