HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Nickerson-South Hutchinson USD 309 Board of Education will hold a special meeting Monday night, Feb. 6 at 7 p.m. at the district offices to allow the public to speak about the idea of moving the 6th grade from the district's elementary schools to Reno Valley Middle School.
The concept is part of the scope of an $8.75 million bond issue due to go before voters soon. The move is being considered due to a lack of space at South Hutchinson Elementary and the land that is available for expansion at the middle school site.
Presentations by the public will be limited to five minutes per person.
The Nickerson-South Hutchinson USD 309 district offices are at 4501 West 4th, just west of the Fun Valley Sports Complex.
