
Barbara Sue (Martin) Temaat, 84, passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2025 in her home. She was born on June 17, 1940 in Hutchinson to Robert S and Jennie Almeda (Chapman) Martin.
Barbara graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1957 and was fall homecoming queen. She worked as a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell.
Barbara married James A Temaat in 1962. To this union, three boys were born, Scott, Michael, and Todd. They divorced in 1984.
She had an in-home daycare for many years and then worked and retired from Alco and the Wichita Eagle.
She was a member of Abundant Harvest Church of the Nazarene and First Christian Church in Pratt. She enjoyed doing ceramics, knitting, and flower gardening.
She is survived by her sons, Scott (Roxan) Temaat of Derby, Michael (Shannon) Temaat of Whitestown, Indiana, and Todd (Sherra) Temaat of Edmond, Oklahoma; brother, Robert (Ann) Martin of Marietta, Georgia; grandchildren, Priscilla "Pat" (Zack) McShane and Cristi Temaat, Brillana and Elliot Temaat, Erich, Austin (Kayla), Isaac, and Ashlyn Temaat; and eight great-grandchildren.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and infant brother, Larry Martin.
Visitation with family receiving friends will be Saturday, March 29, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, March 31, 2025 at Fairlawn Cemetery, Hutchinson.
