Melvin Ray Farquer passed away September 7th, 2023 in Wichita Kansas.
He was born June 4, 1943 in Newton Kansas to Dorris Baldwin and Melvin Farquer. He was a life long resident of Newton, Kansas. Ray served in the U.S. Army and is a Vietnam War Era Veteran. He is a life member of American Legion Post No 2 and Veterans of Foreign Post No 2715. He enjoyed woodworking, making and redoing furniture. He enjoyed working on puzzles since Covid 19, and enjoyed drinking coffee with his buddies. Loved his dog Ranger.
Ray is survived by his wife Judy Farquer, daughters Pam Barden & husband Bobby Barden, Dawn Petterson & husband Steve Petterson, sister Kaye Jaso & husband John Jaso; 9 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his mother Dorris Patterson and daughter Cheryl Corona.
