HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The official budget hearing for Reno County for 2024 is part of their Wednesday meeting agenda.
The County is going to match the revenue neutral rate for this year, which means their budget authority will be $81,386,438 and the mill levy will be 35.764. That will produce $25,544,928 in ad valorem tax.
The county can, and likely will, spend less than that number, but that is the cap on spending for 2024. The current spending estimate for 2023 is $61,177,332.
The valuation for the county as of July 1 is $714,263,783.
The Board of County Commissioners meets Wednesday at 9 a.m. in the Veterans Room at the Reno County Courthouse.
